Keyword: email
I have multiple email addresses, many of which are forwarding addresses. However for communicating with people, I have just one email address that I provide to others. This will be frank@fsp.ws. This is about as simple as one could get with email. I wanted to make sure that my address was simple to type in case they couldn’t use the copy/paste feature of their computer. If you were to write to any of my other addresses, all of my replies will be from frank@fsp.ws.
When you write, please write more than just a few sentences. If your emails are too short, that would tell me that you don’t really have the desire to build a relationship. I have gotten a number of times where I would literally receive just “hi”, and nothing else. I will not respond to anyone if I don’t think they were willing to invest in the time to write me.
On my computer, I have my email client always running. Most of the time, I will hear a notification tone that will tell me I have an email. If I’m not in front of the computer, I will use my smartphone to see the email. If it is junk email, I will just delete it. If it is something worthy of my time, I will go to my computer to address it. I do not compose email from my smartphone nor tablet.
