I have decided to acquire an incoming fax service only This service is affordable, and will allow me to receive faxes to one of my phone lines, and then send the fax to me via .pdf files. I do not have outgoing fax options. If there was a need for regular communications, then email is the only option. As you can see, this number is a toll-free number and will have the same rates as my toll-free voice line. It takes about 1 minute to send 3 pages, so rates should remain affordable for me.

Carriers

There is only one carrier since I only have one fax line. I will not disclose my fax provider for obvious reasons. As mentioned, I receive incoming faxes, and will pay for it by the minute since the number is a toll-free telephone number.

Devices

This is an e-fax service. Someone sends me the fax as they would normally send to a fax telephone number. The provider will collect the fax, and send me a .pdf file. With that being said, there is no devices that the service connects to. I could go out of my way and do an incoming/outgoing fax line, but this will require extra money, and additional resources that I am not willing to invest.

Conclusion

The number will only accept incoming faxes. If you were to fax me, you would have to give me an alternative method for contact. I do not support outgoing faxes. If I should choose to get an ATA, and hook it up to my printer, then I will be able to support outgoing faxes, however this will be a logistical nightmare to do since my fax provider is not Ooma.
