Numbers
Undisclosed (Pittsburgh PA)
Here is the thing. I have 3 other telephone numbers. This includes a home phone line, and 2 cellular lines. You can learn more about why I have two cellular phone lines in other pages of this site. However, it could get rather tedious to call each one of my 3 numbers. You would have to find the first number you wish to call, call that number, and hope I answer. If I don’t, then you would have to call the second number, and hope I answer. If I don’t answer, then you would call the third number – again hoping I answer.
This telephone number solves the problem. When one calls this number, they will ring all three numbers at the same time for 15 seconds. If there is no answer on any of the phones, then the caller will be directed to my home phone’s voicemail which is also the home and voicemail line. This will mean that if I am not home, you most likely will have to wait until I get home to collect your voicemail. Another option will be to send an RCS, or SMS message to either of my cellular phones numbers.
Carriers
I use Callcentric for my phone carrier. This is done by setting up a call treatment to ring my cellular phones, and my home line at the same time. Again, as mentioned, this will ring the phones for 15 seconds. Callcentric charges $6.00 for the number, and if I pick up on my cellular phone, I will pay 2ยข per minute. This is because the number is being forwarded rather than answered on their side. If I was to pick up on my home phone, I will then not spend any additional money. This is different from the toll-free number. However, since you are calling a domestic US number rather than a toll-free number, I am not charged for answering the call on my home phone.
Devices
Technically, there are no devices associated with this phone number. Instead, calls rings my cellular lines, and my home phone line. Therefore, this is a service feature, and not really a product. You can learn more about the phones themselves by going to the appropriate page in this section.
Conclusion
By using this All Phones number, you would be able to call me no matter which line is being rung. I will likely answer one of my phones if you called this phone number. If I am home, I will answer my home phone as to not get charged for call forwarding. If I am not home, then I will likely answer from my iPhone, especially since the carrier for the Razr only gives me a limited number of minutes (even though I will likely not use them up).
